Muslim Mews Magazine to Celebrate Black History Month with all African-American Programming |

During the month of February, Muslim News Magazine will pay tribute to Black History Month with programming that celebrates the legacy of African Americans. Viewers will be able to see a wide range of documentaries and television specials from MNM's huge digital library. These programs are streamed free at MuslimNewsMagazine.TV and available to all. Some of the award-winning content during the month includes "The Legend of Timbuktu", "8 Centuries of Muslims in America" and "The Legacy of Imam W. Deen Mohammed". "African American history and Islam are bound together by the threads of time," said Lon Muqaddin, V.P. of Operations for Muslim News Magazine. "Black History Month gives us the opportunity to show just how deep those bonds are." MNM will also air the highly anticipated documentary from BAIT-CAL Films, "From Africa to the White House." This powerful film documentary features Academy Award-winning actor Louis Gossett Jr, Emmy Award-winning actor Glynn Thurman, and Hollywood star Angela Bassett. Other programs during the month also include "Unsung Heroes of Soul: The Philly Sound", "The Evolution of Bilal", and "Universal Respect and Acceptance: The World Travels of Imam W. Deen Mohammed" "We think our viewers will enjoy the selection of programs we'll be offering," added Muqaddin.
