To assist Muslim in registering to vote, CAIR is encouraging individuals to make use the group's “Rock the Vote” online voter registration tool. CAIR is also asking Muslim voters to share photographs and videos of their stories of registering people to vote by posting items on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snap Chat, Vine – and including the hashtag #CAIRChallenge. As part of the voter registration effort, CAIR is releasing a series of videos to encourage Americans Muslims to exercise their civic duty and vote. “As citizens, it is our duty to educate ourselves about the civic process and to participate in that process,” said CAIR National Communications Coordinator Nabeelah Naeem. “Our diversity is what makes us stronger as a nation.” She added that it is important to involve young people in the political process. CAIR chapters nationwide will host Muslim voter viewing parties during the first presidential debate. |
